Low Balance

Running out of credit stops your agents. Flowera warns you well before that, in a way that's hard to miss.

The low-balance banner

When the balance drops below $5, a banner appears under the top bar on every page. It shows the exact remaining balance and an Add Balance button that opens the top-up dialog.

It has two states:

StateWhenMessage
Low (amber)Balance is positive but under $5"Low balance — $3.20 left"
Empty (red)Balance is zero or negative"Your balance is empty" — agents are paused

The banner is sticky and never closes on its own. Dismissing it hides it for the rest of the session; it comes back on the next page load if the balance is still low, and the dismissal resets once the balance recovers above $5.

What happens when you run out

At zero, flows stop running. Concretely:

  • New messages don't get answered. On WhatsApp and Instagram the customer sees nothing at all — no error, no delay notice, just silence.
  • Automations stop firing, and repeated failures cause them to be auto-paused.
  • Everything you've built is intact. Flows, documents, credentials, history — nothing is deleted.

The silence is the real cost. A customer who gets no reply assumes you're ignoring them, and you find out from them rather than from the system.

Recovering from a zero balance

  1. Top up — click the balance in the top bar, or Add Balance on the banner.
  2. Credit applies immediately; new messages are answered again.

Automations that were paused because the wallet ran dry resume by themselves. Funding the wallet — manually or through auto-recharge — reactivates them and re-queues the runs they skipped in the previous 24 hours. You don't have to resume them by hand.

That automatic recovery covers only the empty-wallet case. An automation you paused yourself, or one parked for a different reason, stays paused until you resume it — see Failure handling.

Conversations that arrived while the balance was empty aren't retried. If it matters, look through View Messages for the gap and follow up by hand.

Not getting here

  • Turn on auto-recharge. It's the only mechanism that acts without a human.
  • Set the threshold above one day's spend. Check the Usage Dashboard for what a normal day costs you.
  • Watch the wallet before a campaign. A batch run to 5,000 recipients spends more in an hour than a fortnight of ordinary chat.
